Hall of Honor Nominations
The late George Morley who chaired the first selection committee explained that a nominee had to be an outstanding scientific contributor, a superb educator or a highly regarded individual in a long leadership role. In summary, a nominee must have made outstanding contributions to biomedical science and have a strong affiliation with the University of Michigan.
You are welcome to submit nominations for prominent medical professionals, living or deceased, to be reviewed for possible election into the Hall of Honor. Nominations for the Hall of Honor must include the following:
- Nomination form[PDF]
- Outline of the nominee’s time spent at the University of Michigan
- At least one paragraph summarizing the nominee’s career
- A narrative describing the reasons the individual should be considered for this honor
Note: We are unable to submit incomplete nomination packets for consideration by the Hall of Honor Selection Committee.

Nominations must be postmarked by March 2, 2009. The Hall of Honor Selection Committee will review all submissions in 2009 and the inductees will be announced in 2010.
