Goal: $235 million

The U-M Health System has many thematic initiatives targeted for philanthropic support. These include the following.

Aging
Basic science research
Biotechnology
Cancer
Cardiovascular sciences
Debt reduction for interns and residents
Depression
Diseases
Genetics, proteomics and bioinformatics
Integrative (complementary and alternative) medicine
Maternal and child health
Nanotechnology
Ophthalmology and visual sciences
Technology transfer
Translational Research
Patient Care in the hospitals and health centers
Experimental clinical equipment
Women’s health

Each of these areas has many specific Campaign needs. Therefore, a goal of $235 million has been set, including endowment of $65 million and expendable funds of $170 million.
