This year, house officers completing their residencies at the
University of Michigan were helped through some of the complexities
of their imminent transitions at the first House Officer Exit
Fair, held June 1 at University Hospital.
Sponsored by the Medical Center Alumni Society in conjunction
with the House Officer Association, the Exit Fair pulled together
in one location representatives who could assist with such items
as benefits, financial aid, retirement account rollovers and
insurance in an effort to ease the burden of personal business
during the hectic days prior to relocation. Well-received and
well-attended, the House Officer Exit Fair proved to be an effective
and helpful way of bidding a fond farewell to resident members
of the U-M medical community.
