To all of you who were able to join us for the U-M Medical School’s Reunion ’07, we hope you enjoyed the chance to meet old friends — and make new ones — during dinners, campus tours, tailgate parties and, of course, during the Michigan Wolverines’ victory over the Minnesota Golden Gophers, 34-10.
Reunion weekend also marked the fall meeting of the Medical Center Alumni Society (MCAS) board of directors, during which the board thanked outgoing President Clifford L. Craig (M.D. 1969), and welcomed incoming President James C. Hays (M.D. 1977). The board also welcomed new members Jean Holland (M.D. 1977) and James K. Sobeski (M.D. 1993).
In addition to all the fun, our alumni also recognized the outstanding contributions of two of their most beloved colleagues by honoring Walter C. Willett (M.D. 1970), Ph.D., with a Distinguished Achievement Award and Neal A. Vanselow (M.D. 1958, Residency 1963), with a Distinguished Service Award.
Planning for Reunion ’08 has already begun, and we hope that our alumni from classes ending in “3” or “8”, as well as all our emeritus alumni, will mark their calendars for September 26-27, 2008.
